Nest Box Funding

Wirral Barn Owl Trust would like to thank the ‘Robert Clutterbuck Charitable Trust’, for their recent grant of £1,500.00 to purchase new barn owl boxes, from the Barn Owl Centre in Gloucester.  WBOT rely entirely on grants we receive, and donations from members, and this support will enable WBOT to continue protecting the wild barn owl population across the Wirral.
If you are interested in supporting the Trust either as a volunteer or donating to our projects you can either email our Treasurer direct at steve_jackson52@hotmail.com or info@wirralbarnowltrust.org

Christmas Greetings

On behalf of the Trustees of ‘Wirral Barn Owl Trust’, may we take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Peaceful and Healthy New Year.

We would also like to thank you for your continued support, as without your help we would not be able to continue with our aim, to establish a viable Barn Owl population on the Wirral.

Regards

WBOT.

National Grid Capenhurst

You tend to think that Barn Owls are creatures of open fields and farmland, but yesterday (02/12/2022) we went to the National Grid site, Capenhurst to replace two dilapidated Barn Owl Nest Boxes.

This box was occupied by two adult birds who will hopefully be happy with their new home.

The hardest part of this necessary work is removing the old nest boxes and we are very grateful to the guys from National Grid for their assistance and the use of a cherry picker

Having safely removed the old box, which was unoccupied, we were able to install the new box and inspection camera.
